Prayer Ministries
The least visible department in any church and, on the evidence of every revival the Adventist Church has ever had, the one that carries the rest.
What Prayer Ministries is
Prayer ministry organises what a congregation might otherwise leave to chance: that requests are actually prayed for, that people in crisis are actually covered, and that the church’s major work is prepared for rather than simply launched.
At Edmonton Central the midweek prayer meeting has run for decades and still does, Wednesday evenings at seven, in the building and online. It is unhurried and largely unstructured, and for a good number of our members it is the most valuable hour of the week.
Every prayer request submitted through this website reaches the prayer team. Requests can be submitted anonymously, and where you ask for that, only the pastors see your name.

Common questions
Do I have to pray out loud?
No. A good number of people who come every week never pray aloud. Being in the room is enough.
Can I submit a request without giving my name?
Yes. Tick the anonymous option and only the pastors will see who you are.
Can I join online?
Yes, the prayer meeting runs in person and online. Contact the office for the link.
Will my request be shared?
Only with the prayer team, and only as you permit. If you ask for pastors only, it stays with the pastors.
