Sabbath School
Two superintendents. Every age studying the Word together.
Sabbath School runs every Saturday at 9:30am: an hour of Bible study, prayer, and discussion that the worldwide Adventist family does together each quarter.

Adult Sabbath School
Multiple classes in the sanctuary and around the church, working through the global quarterly study guide. Open Bible, open discussion, open invitation.

Children’s Sabbath School
Cradle Roll, Beginners, Kindergarten, Primary, and Juniors. Bible lessons designed for little hands and growing imaginations, with trained volunteers and safe environments.

Club ministries
Where kids and youth grow up loving Jesus.
From age four to adult, our three NAD-affiliated clubs give every young person a place to belong, a uniform to wear, honours to earn, and lifelong friendships to forge. May 2026 alone saw a Pathfinder camp-out at Pembina River, a combined-club outdoor potluck, and the World Adventurer Day Sabbath service.

Camp-outs, Honours pins, drill, community service, and the Pathfinder Bible Experience (PBE). May 2026 camp-out at Pembina River Provincial Park.
Aurora Borealis Adventurer Club
First friends. First adventures. First steps with Jesus.
Sabbath afternoon activities, crafts, awards, family nights, and the first sash with patches. World Adventurer Day Sabbath service held May 16, 2026.
Leading Lights Master Guide
For the leaders who lead the leaders.
The Adventist Church’s highest youth-ministry leadership credential. Bible study, leadership skill, and field mentoring of Pathfinder and Adventurer staff.

Sabbath School classes for every age, weekly worship worksheets, ministry events designed for little hands.

For high school students, university students, and twenty-somethings figuring out faith, work, relationships, and what comes next.

Men’s Ministry
Brotherhood, Bible study, accountability, and the call to be the men God has shaped us to be. Small groups, retreats, and service projects.

Women’s Ministry
Discipleship, mentoring, leadership development, and gathering. GHL community group being created. Aligned with the worldwide NAD Women’s Ministries focus.

Family Ministry
Marriage enrichment, parenting support, and family events that put Jesus at the centre of the home. Aligned with the worldwide Adventist Family Ministries focus.

Social Event Team
Fellowship lunches, holiday gatherings, recreation Sabbaths, the cleaning bee, the potluck table that never empties. The team that keeps the church family connected outside Sabbath morning.

Spiritual life
Worship, study, prayer, the slow-burning faithful practices.
Worship & Pastoral
Divine Service every Sabbath at 11:30am. Pastor Hamstra preaching through Hebrews; Pastor Guzman through Ephesians. Praise team, special music, the Word week after week.
Music Ministry
Choir, praise team, special-music soloists, instrumentalists, accompanists. The team that lifts Sabbath worship every week.

Prayer Ministry
Wednesday Prayer Meeting at 7:00pm, in person and online (Power Up & Prayer). Prayer team prays through every confidential request each week.
Personal Ministries
Equipping every member as a witness. Personal Ministries training (most recently with Pastor Jeff Potts, May 2026), Bible study mentorship, and small-group ministry support.

Stewardship
Encouraging joyful, intentional generosity: tithes, offerings, time, talents. Stewardship Sabbath coming up later in 2026.

Evangelism Week with guest speakers Pastor Aron Crews and K’dee Crews is set for September 18-26, 2026. The Central Hope Food Drive runs quarterly. ECSDAC has been showing up here for sixty years.

Community Services
The Central Hope Food Drive collects and delivers food across central Edmonton (bag distribution June 13, collection June 20, 2026). Part of the worldwide Adventist Community Services network. 250 volunteer t-shirts ordered for the next collection.

Evangelism
Sharing the hope of Jesus through public meetings, small-group studies, and the testimony of changed lives. Evangelism Week Sept 18-26, 2026 with Pastor Aron & K’dee Crews from Granite Bay Hilltop Church (California).

Health Ministry
The Adventist Church has been a global health movement for over a century. Cooking classes, health seminars, blood-pressure clinics, and the practice of caring well for the body God gave you.

Mission Trips
A dedicated Mission Trips account was opened in May 2026. Belize missionary trip in planning, led by Orville Ferris.

Education Ministry
Christian education, kindergarten through grade twelve.
Edmonton Central is one of the constituent churches of Coralwood Adventist Academy — the only K-12 SDA school serving the Edmonton area, owned and operated by the Alberta Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. Bob Ramsay represents our church on the Coralwood Board.
Our Education Ministry promotes Christian education, supports Coralwood students and teachers, and advocates for the next generation of Adventist learners.
