Education Ministry

Edmonton Central is a constituent church of Coralwood Adventist Academy, the only Seventh-day Adventist K-12 school serving the Edmonton area.

What Education Ministry is

Adventist education begins from a conviction about where learning belongs: that God started the first school in Eden and that education at its best forms the whole person rather than merely transmitting information. Across the world the Adventist Church runs one of the largest Protestant school systems in existence, and Coralwood is our part of it.

Coralwood Adventist Academy is owned and operated by the Alberta Conference of Seventh-day Adventists and serves families across the Edmonton area from kindergarten through grade twelve. Edmonton Central is one of its constituent churches, and Bob Ramsay represents this congregation on the Coralwood board.

The Education department here promotes Christian education, supports Coralwood students and teachers, and advocates for families weighing the decision. The home and school relationship is the heart of it — parents, teachers and church working as one rather than three.
