4. Acceptable conduct
You agree that you will not:

- Misrepresent your identity or impersonate any person, member, or representative of the church;

5. Livestream & sermon archive
The ECSDAC livestream and sermon archive are provided free of charge for personal worship and study. Sermons are also published on our YouTube channel (youtube.com/@ecsdac) and may be embedded into this site from there. Members and visitors may share links and embedded players freely on personal social media. Republication of full sermon audio or video on another platform, podcast, or website requires written permission from the lead pastor.
Persons appearing on the livestream or in worship recordings do so by their presence at the service; see the Privacy Policy §10 for how this is handled.
6. Donations and tax receipts
Online donations are processed by AdventistGiving Canada, operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Canada (SDACC). Tax receipts are issued by AdventistGiving Canada (for online donations) or by the church office (for e-Transfer, pre-authorized debit, cash, or cheque) in accordance with Canada Revenue Agency rules. Designated gifts are honoured for their stated purpose. Donations are generally non-refundable; if a donation is made in error or to the wrong fund, please contact the office promptly so we can correct the record where possible.
7. Intellectual property
All content on this site — including the Edmonton Central name and logo, the Adventist symbol used under denominational licence, sermon recordings, photographs, written content, design, and code — is the property of Edmonton Central, the Seventh-day Adventist Church, or our content licensors and is protected by Canadian copyright and trademark law.
You may share, embed, link to, and quote our content for personal, devotional, educational, and non-commercial purposes with attribution to Edmonton Central Seventh-day Adventist Church. For all other uses, please request permission in writing.
8. Third-party links and embeds
This site contains links to and embeds from third-party services we trust (YouTube, AdventistGiving Canada, AlbertaAdventist.ca, the wider denomination, Coralwood Adventist Academy, etc.). We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of those third-party sites. Use of those sites is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
9. Members portal
Access to the members portal is granted by the church office to confirmed members, committee members, ministry volunteers, and other persons serving in roles that require access. You agree to keep your login credentials confidential, to use the portal only for legitimate ministry purposes, to respect the confidentiality of all meeting materials, agendas, minutes, and member rosters available within the portal, and not to share Zoom links, passcodes, or other meeting credentials outside the assigned committee or team.
10. Service availability
We aim to keep this site, the livestream, and the members portal available continuously, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The site may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, technical failure, or events beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by interruptions.
11. No medical, legal, financial, or professional advice
Information on this site — including sermons, articles, health-ministry content, prayer responses, and pastoral material — is provided for spiritual, educational, and devotional purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional medical, legal, financial, mental-health, or other expert advice. Please consult a qualified professional for personal advice in those areas.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Edmonton Central Seventh-day Adventist Church, its officers, pastors, elders, deacons, board members, volunteers, employees, and ministry partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising out of your use of, or inability to use, this site. Our total liability for any claim related to the site will not exceed CAD$100.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Edmonton Central, its leadership, and our denominational affiliates against any claim, loss, or expense arising out of your breach of these terms or your misuse of the site.
14. Children
This site is open to the general public, including children. However, registration in the members portal and submission of personal information through forms requires you to be the age of consent in Alberta, or to have the verifiable consent of a parent or legal guardian. We collect and use children’s information only in line with our Privacy Policy.
15. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the laws of Canada applicable there. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the site will be brought exclusively in the courts of Alberta sitting in Edmonton, except where, as a religious organization, an internal church-resolution process is appropriate under the Seventh-day Adventist Church Manual.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as our ministries and the law evolve. The current version is always posted on this page with the effective date. Material changes will be announced in the eNews bulletin.
